Last week Sturdy Sturdevent- CEO of Peak Corporate Development inc, spoke to a Kiwanis full house and discussed the necessity of building corporate credit for every size company. It was interesting to learn about the importance of separating personal credit from business credit and the technology associated with doing so.

Erica Stevens-Kiwanis Southwest District Governor attended Dining With the Dead Saturday! We were honored that she drove from Arizona to see our event.
It’s time for Kiwanis annual dues! Club Treasurer Chris Troyer has recently emailed your annual club invoice. For your convenience, to pay by credit card, Chris will have the Square available at club meetings—making payments quick and easy or mail to PO Box 843, Farmington 87499.
Thank you to everyone who was a part of Dining With the Dead. It was a lovely evening and so many compliments on the wonderful stories and how much guests enjoyed it.
National Day of Service –This Saturday- September 13
Club President Nikki announced that Kiwanis would join in by assisting the Salvation Army. Christopher Rockwell shared that volunteers are needed to help move clothing from storage containers in preparation for recycling.
Time: 9:00 a.m.–Noon

Coats for Kids Chairman, Brian Turner, announced that many coats were picked up from local schools and those in great shape will be added to the few hundred new coats scheduled to be given on Nov 5 and 6. Brian is asking for volunteers to meet at Animas Valley Mall office Tues, Sept 30 at 2pm to help organize coats.
Shoes for Kids Chairman, Erin Hunt, reminded everyone that we need volunteers to help box shoes and socks for about 350 students attending the Boys and Girls Clubs on Thursday, October 2. Meet at Carpet One Plus at 3:30.
