The Farmington Rio Del Sol Kiwanis club is dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects. We are part of Kiwanis International, an organization serving children in local communities for over 100 years.
We’d love for you to come join us at one of our meetings or a service project.
We meet every Thursday at Noon at No Worries Bar and Grill located at the Farmington Airport, Farmington, NM 87401. Bring your appetite and your energy as we discuss upcoming projects and hear from people in our community.
Projects for Kids
Our club is actively involved in our community helping children in need. More can be found by clicking the Our Projects button below.
Kiwanis Clothes for Kids at Target provides $100/each for school clothes for approximately 300 children.
November each Year

Coats for Kids program provides hundreds of warm winter coats to San Juan County boys and girls.

Scholastic Books for Kids program provides books for every child in a title 1 school in our district.

Kiwanis Shoes for Kids program provides new athletic shoes and socks to children attending Boys and Girls Clubs.

Audra Winters
Description
Audra Winters, Executive Director for the San Juan Medical Foundation. We serve alongside San Juan Regional Medical Center to meet the community’s healthcare needs and goals. The foundation administers two patient support funds, the Cathy Lincoln Memorial Cancer Fund and the Riley Men’s Health Fund. The foundation also owns and operates the Connelly Hospitality House, a home away from home for cancer patients.

Dr Philip Ernest
Description
Dr. Philip Ernest – Medical Director at SJRMC. He will discuss the Divinci Robotic surgery happening at the hospital. The Divinci Robotic is used in general surgery including colon, hernia, bariatric, etc. It is less invasive, more precise, and less recovery time. The hospital is getting a newer model later this year.

Jamie Voita – Everytown Survivor Network is a nationwide community of people whose lives have been impacted by gun violence. As a 2026 Everytown Survivor Fellow. I am spending the year sharing my family’s experience while advocating for safer communities. This is her story of their Family’s experience when Mrs. Shirley Voita was shot and killed on Dustin St. by a Farmington high school student. 3 women were killed that day.
