Rick Burns
Description
Rick Burns – Karadah Project – For almost a decade, LTC (retired) Rick Burns was in and out of Army deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. During and in between those deployments, Rick felt once the military withdrew, there would still be a lot more work to be done in these countries. The people he worked with who believed in our U.S. mission and at great personal risk, worked closely with us, deserved our best efforts, he believes. That inspired the founding of Karadah Project Int’l, a nonprofit supporting internally displaced women and children in the countries where he served.
