Hello Everyone,

Our speaker tomorrow is Mark Duncan, State Representative. Steve Neville was called to Santa Fe by Governor Grisham; he has worked on a $100 million dollar water conservation bill for the past 5 years.  She has called a press conference for the bill signing and requested Steve to be there.

Mark will update us on the recent Santa Fe Session that was just over on Saturday.

Thank you to our speaker last week Perry Webb, President of the Webb Automotive Group.  He and Herb and Lynette gave an update on the progress and impact of the New LDS Temple currently under construction on a 6.62 acre site located at the intersection of College Boulevard and Windsor Dr. It will be about 25,000 square feet in size.

 Club Elections will take place on April 27. The following positions are open, if you are interested in any of these positions, please let Gary, Nikki, or Bernadette know asap.

2 Board Director Positions-2 year Term

1 Community Director.       1 year Term

President-Elect

Membership Chair              This is currently an appointed position but has been proposed to make it a Board Position, Bylaws are currently being revisited to make this change.

Membership will be notified by April 13 about who have submitted their names for these positions. Those elected will be inducted on September 28.

The Farmington High School Key Club just returned from the Key Club District Convention. Amber Danek posted that one of the students took 1st Place in the digital poster contest and they took second place in service work in the District. FHS Key Club is now a Distinguished Club and they were recognized for their Governor’s Project.   Way to Go FHS Key Club!

 Please keep these upcoming dates in mind and consider signing up for these important events. 

May 13, 2023 is Thomas Jefferson and John Adams at the Farmington Civic Center.  Several seats are reserved for Kiwanis in the center section but as it get closer to the event, the seats will be released to the public. Members can call the Civic Center at 505-599-1145 to purchase tickets or go by the Civic Center. 

Scott Michlin, KSJE, will soon be doing a live interview with Stephen Edenbo who portrays Thomas Jefferson. More information soon on the date it will be aired.
