Hello Everyone,

Our speaker tomorrow is Warren Unsicker.  He is the Director of Economic Development for the City of Farmington.  He will share with us some of the latest major projects happening in the City of Farmington. Many new and exciting things are underway and soon to be constructed in the City. They include major parks, roadway extensions, river features, and more growth in the Downtown core. There are also exciting plans being created to help craft the future of the community.

Our additional speakers are Zurisadai (Sudi) and George with Whataburger.  They will give us the latest update on when Whataburger will open on East Main. This will be their first one in Farmington (located in the previous Bernardones location)

Thank you to our speaker last week, Tom Taylor, NM Department of Transportation Commissioner District 5. It was great receiving information about our highways and state highways.  Tom mentioned that Farmington serves a retail sector of about 250,000 people from 4 states.  We have an average of 40,000 visitors daily.

Congratulations to our elected positions and those take effect on October 1st.

Thank you for helping sell duck tickets.  It is always a fun time to see who has the winning numbers.  1 ticket is $5 or a book that has 12 tickets is $50.  Please pickup your books and help Kiwanis raise money for all of our wonderful projects!;)

Also, please share on social media and tell friends and family.  We are currently collecting prizes for the winners so if you would like to donate a prize, please let Bernadette know and we are grateful for the support!
