Hello Everyone,

Our speaker tomorrow is Johnny Curry, the President of the Connie Mack World Series.  Kiwanis is sponsoring a Connie Mack team again this year. Dates for Connie Mack are: July 26th thru Aug 3rd.

Also, we are also pleased to have Sam Todd, Team Sponsor Coordinator for Connie Mack Teams join us tomorrow.  Sam said he will have more news for us when he attends Kiwanis.

Thank you to our speaker last week, Rebecca Hagenbarger with the Trio Educational Opportunity Center at San Juan College. They assist adults seeking higher education, career training, or pursuing a GED. They can help navigate financial aid and any available scholarships. Rebecca states they also help with housing, food, general academic goals and many other programs.  What a great resource for our community!

Congratulations to Rae DeGroat for being inducted last week and our newest Kiwanis member.  We are glad to have her and please say hi when you see her next!

Mike Foster, sponsored by Julie Gow, has been approved for membership by the Board and will be inducted Thursday.  Mike is looking forward to being in Kiwanis and is ready to start volunteering! 

The Museum Foundation Board would appreciate it if 8 Kiwanians would volunteer to scoop ice cream for the annual July 4 Ice Cream Social.  Hours are 1 to 3pm Thursday, July 4. And, you get a free ice cream! A sign up sheet will be available at Kiwanis. This is a fun event with lots of activities and hundreds of people attending. Located at Children’s Museum and rock house.

Big Brother Big Sisters Fundraiser is Bowl for Kids Sake Saturday July 13 at Bowlero Lanes.
