Hello Everyone,

Our speakers tomorrow are D’Ann Waters and Debbie Braff with the Don’t Meth With Us Program.  Come and hear what this drug awareness program is all about. Since its’ inception, approximately 35,000 5th graders in San Juan County and Northern Navajo Nation have learned about meth and other addictive drugs. DMWU gives them the tools to help keep them drug free.

Board Members, there is a Board Meeting immediately following the luncheon meeting.

Chamber of Commerce has a Football Party BAH at San Juan Country

Club from 5pm to 7pm. Cost is $5

Thank you to our speaker last week, Joan Monninger, for filling in for Patty Tharp and updating us on upcoming events for the San Juan County Historical Society.  I think I speak for everyone when I say there was a great flow of information with some wonderful humor!  Great job Joan!

We are expecting a Kiwanis full house with several guests attending on September 12th for Author Ann Hillerman’s presentation. 

As a special favor would each of you respond to Jill if you plan to attend and if you are inviting guests who will attend with you.  We’ve never had a famous author speak at our meeting and we want to make sure members have a seat. Also, Alycia with No Worries, said she would need to set the room up a special way to accommodate a large group. Amy, with Amy’s bookstore, will have a table selling Ann’s books if anyone would like to purchase one or more. Ann is Tony Hillerman’s daughter.
