Hello Everyone,

Our speaker tomorrow is Tina Pacheco with First Tee. Tina will share information about the Volunteer Incentive Program. They encourage youth to serve in the community. VIP partners with local youth organizations, including athletic, academic, religious, and social groups, by donating $ per student per hour spent volunteering. The youth organizations choose their own volunteer activity, complete the work, and then they are paid for the project.

Additionally, Nicole Clark, who works for Basin Health Companies as The Executive Assistant & Outreach, and Shelly Corwin, who works for the TriCity Record/Ballantine Communications as the Circulation and Operations Director, will be talking to you about Masada House. Masada House is a transitional home for women coming out of prison, recovering from substance abuse. Masada House is fundraising for their annual Music for Masada event and would love the opportunity to talk about the event.

Thank you to our speaker last week, Larry Palmer, CEO of Catholic Charities. Thank you for all you and your committee does with the ‘911 National Day of Service.’ This Day of Service is the largest Day of Service in the Nation. They are looking for a Co-Chair for the event and also need support for the Memorial Stair Climb with volunteers. If you or anyone you know can help or organize Kep Club volunteers, let them know!

Club Elections are April 28. Currently, all positions have someone willing to serve in these capacities. If anyone wants to consider including their name, please talk to Bernadette. Those elected to these positions will take office Oct 1.
