Kiwanis monthly Board Meeting tomorrow, immediately following the regular meeting.

Laykenn Kennedy has been approved for membership by the Board and will be inducted into Kiwanis this week. Laykenn is a Counselor with Faith Works. They will be a Bronze Corporate member.

Rae DeGroat, PR Coordinator at NAPI, has submitted her application for membership.  They will be a Bronze Corporate member.

Thank you to our speaker last week, Bruce Petty with Bargain Bin in San Juan Plaza behind Harbor Freight. These items are liquidated from shelf pulls, overstocks and returns.  These are items refused by Big Box Stores. Bruce says he’s the Best Discount Store in Town! The prices drop throughout the week and are at least ½ off retail. Thank you for spending time with us Bruce!

We will be boxing up the next African Library on June 18th at 5pm at Ethos Warehouse, 14 Road 5860.  Volunteers are appreciated!  Let Nikki know if you can help…nicoleccourtney@gmail.com

Sam Todd, Sponsor Coordinator with Connie Mack World Series, called earlier this week to confirm that Kiwanis still plans to sponsor a team. The Kiwanis Board voted last year after the Series that we all had fun and wanted to do it again this year. Nikki immediately responded that she’d be happy to be our point person and again take on the extra duties!  Thanks Nikki for stepping up; it should be another fun summer!

A Message from Jill:

Please invite a friend or business associate to a Kiwanis Luncheon. It’s more exciting when we have a full room and more opportunities to share all the wonderful projects Kiwanis does in our community.

If you have Pancake Breakfast tickets and/or money, please turn it all in Thursday.  Pancake Day is Saturday.  Bring your family and come and enjoy a great breakfast that raises money for Kiwanis Clothes for Kids. Hope to see everyone there.

We are excited that Hutton Broadcasting will be doing a live broadcast for Kiwanis Saturday morning at the Outback Steakhouse. Arron Hinshaw with the Outback is very happy about the live broadcast. Great Public Relations for Kiwanis and the Outback Steakhouse!

If you have a speaker you’d like to schedule for Kiwanis, look at the Calendar of Events to see what dates are open. Confirm with Jill that date is available and book them. Your interest is appreciated.

Please keep these upcoming dates in mind.
