Hello Everyone,

Tomorrow’s speaker will be Lisa Monee Korbas, Title One Coach at McCormick Elementary. She will share the story behind McCormick’s innovative Book Vending Machine—a program where students earn gold coins to “purchase” books as special prizes. Thanks to Kiwanis’ Scholastic Books program, every student received two books to take home, with additional funds used to stock the vending machine. Students can earn tokens through good attendance, positive behavior, academic achievement, and more. Cody Cornoyer serves as our Scholastic Book Chair.

Kyle Rhodes-President/CEO Pesco- was last week’s speaker.  What an eye-opener on this amazing company!! Pesco is a family owned company with over 50-years’ experience in manufacturing high quality equipment for the natural gas and oil industries. They are the largest privately held manufacturing firms in San Juan County, and one of the largest in New Mexico. They have over 420 employees.
