Hello Everyone,

Scott Bird and Amanda Banks are tomorrow’s speakers: they are introducing Sandstone at San Juan Country Club!

Sandstone is a new 55+ adult community just a short golf cart ride from San Juan Country Club in Farmington, New Mexico. A gated community consisting of two phases for a total of 53 lots. Seventeen local citizens funded this development, which has been over five years in the making.

Sherrie Chenault will take a few minutes to share information. Sherrie was a previous member of Kiwanis and plans to rejoin! Sherrie will share information on her business: she leads Farmington Local News Network (LNN) and also runs a small software/fundraising studio. Sherrie is happy to support Kiwanis by featuring our service projects on LNN and to run a no-cost pilot fundraiser.

Ron Price, owner of Productive outcomes, was inducted at last week’s meeting by President Kathy Hogan. Ron’s sponsor is Jill McQueary. Ron has already offered to lead the December 18 program by asking members to share their favorite Christmas memories. And, This will also be the fun Christmas Ugly Sweater Contest. Come and Find Out if you have the ugliest sweater!

Last weeks speaker was Yo-Yo Master Performer Luke Renner. He entertained us with all kinds of different yo-yo tricks, Walking the Dog, Over the Moon, and many more! So fun and different.

Monthly Board Meeting is immediately following the regular lunch meeting. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.

Kudos to Bernadette for greeting everyone as they came a couple of weeks ago. What a great way to start the luncheon meeting with a cheerful hello and a big smile! As a suggestion: someone might take on being a greeter at the meetings, it sure makes a difference.

Shoes for Kids Chairman, Erin Hunt organized a great group of volunteers to box and sort shoes and socks last week at Carpet One. Thanks to all the Kiwanians and Key Club students who came and helped. We organized over 350 pairs of shoes and socks in about 45 minutes.
