Hello Everyone,

Luke Renner Yo-Yo Master Performer is our speaker tomorrow. Luke has beenfeatured in promotional campaigns for the Chinese company Magic Yoyo andhas been performing with yo-yos for more than 30 years. Over the course of hiscareer, he has opened for Freddie Fender, competed at the National Yo-YoContest in Las Vegas, and participated in International yo-yo competitions. During his presentation, Luke will share how he got started and showcase hisincredible skills with live demonstrations. This promises to be a fun an entertaining program you won’t want to miss!

Wow! What a presentation last week by Tim Gibbs, CEO with Four Corners Economic Development.  One of the topics he discussed was the economic advantages of the region regarding particularly gas production in powering energy hungry AI data centers.

Kudos to Bernadette for greeting everyone as they came in last week. What a great way to start the luncheon meeting with a cheerful hello and a big smile!  Thanks Bernadette for all you do!

Shoes for Kids Chairman, Erin Hunt, reminded everyone that we still need volunteers to help box shoes and socks Thursday, October 2 at Carpet One Plus at 3:30.  Sign up sheet is available at meeting or email Erin at erin@carpetoneplus.com

Congratulations to Corporate Member, The Bridge. Recently, they were named a 2025 Best Skilled Nursing Home for assisted living by U.S.News & World Report.

At last week’s meeting Ron Price with Productive Outcomes and Devin Long with United Way joined us. Ron has submitted his membership application and has been approved.  He will be inducted at his earliest convenience. Devin plans to turn in her membership application in the near future!

Aliyah Wilkerson, Nicole Clark’s daughter, also with BasinHome Health was a visitor and we hope to see all of them again soon.

Attached is a Thank you Letter from Seth Bigham to Kiwanis for our help with the 911 Day of Service. They had over 280 folks who joined with service groups, area businesses and other organizations who partnered with them on this special day. (Under button test)

Update on the last Update on Farmington High School Key Club.  I met last week with Rocky Torres, FHS principal and Ms. Jordan Eckstein about the FHS Key Club. Jordan said Key Club students are excited to get started and being involved with community volunteer projects. She said currently 52 students have signed up for Key Club, great job! We discussed some of Kiwanis upcoming projects and how much Kiwanis appreciates Key Club students helping with them.

Clothes for Kids– volunteer sign up sheets will be available at tomorrow’s meeting, This event requires 50 to 60 volunteers for each evening of shopping on Nov 5 and 6. If your company sends employees to help, encourage them to wear their logoed company shirts. Bob Brooks is Chair.
