Hello Everyone,

If you have pancake money please turn it in tomorrow or turn in any unsold tickets. Every ticket sold supports Kiwanis Clothes for Kids. Arron Wasson is donating the entire food cost! Be sure and tell her Thank You. Outback is also selling Bloody Marys and Mimosas for only $5. (If you volunteered to help Saturday—this is a reminder to be there by 7:15am) We will have a live remote by Hutton Broadcasting.

Looking for something fun and different to do this summer?  Be sure to catch Cody Dudgeon’s presentation on Desert River Guides. This local outfitter offers a variety of affordable family-friendly and scenic float trips along the Animas River and the San Juan River right here in beautiful Farmington. Tours are available seven days a week from May through August.

In addition to river tours, Desert River Guides also provides lake rentals, including paddle boards, single kayaks and more-perfect for enjoying the water all summer long!

Last week we had an exciting double feature!  Tony DiGiacomo and Beth DiGiacomo. Tony, Manager at EthosEnergy, shared fascinating insights into generator theory and how Ethos works all around the world.

Beth DiGiacomo introduced us to Homes for Heroes. Beth is the only realtor in San Juan County who offers this incredible service.

Sad News.  Please remember Nicole Clark with Basin Home Health in your thoughts and prayers. Her beloved father passed away recently.

Update: Nicole sent a message to let us know that she appreciates the lovely bouquet of flowers our club sent.

Congratulations Shelly Diede with Hope Children’s Foundation. Shelly was named Interim Executive Director when Debbie Joslin stepped away from this position.

Volunteers needed! Nikki is asking for volunteers for Monday, June 16th at 4PM at EthosEnergy. Volunteers will organize the books in preparation of sending 1 or more African Libraries. Ethos is a big blue building that sits back off the Bloomfield Highway. Info: 314-719-9327

Weekly card drawing: There are only 11 cards left in the deck. Whoever draws the Ace of Spades wins ½ the cash pot and the half goes towards Kiwanis end of summer social.

Most of you know that our club is in the SW District. The SW District Key Club is looking for a Kiwanian to help the Key Club Petroglyph Lt Governor, Rose Benally. Rose lives in Farmington and will be a junior at Farmington High. If you would be interested in mentoring and supporting her, Jennifer Moore, Zone Administrator would like to talk with you.  You can reach her at:  623-466-2337
