Hello Everyone,
Tomorrow’s speaker is Martin Grady, Director of Business Incubation-San Juan College. The Enterprise Center just celebrated their 25th Anniversary, it was started by Jim Henderson and Tom Taylor. Martin will discuss the Enterprise’s history and leading up to where it is today.
Wow! What an awesome meeting last week. Sheriff Shane Ferrari, was our speaker and as always, was so informative. He spoke quite a bit about the Don’t Meth With Us program and what is doing in our community. He said that educating our youth about drugs is the best way to help prevent students from experimenting with drugs and that more drug awareness programs are needed.
Governor-Elect of the Southwest District of Kiwanis, Erica Stephens and her husband Craig visited our club last week. She said she was very impressed with our dynamic club and with the Don’t Meth With Us program. She plans to make our program her District Project! Isn’t that wonderful news!?! Some of us involved with the program are making plans to attend the District Conference in Laughlin, NV on August 22 and 23 and will do a Breakout Session on the program.
Next week we have a special Valentine’s gift for everyone. The Barbershop Quartet (members of Caliente ) will be entertaining us. Bring your special someone and enjoy their songs.
Monthly Board Meeting immediately following the luncheon meeting.

Special message from Lynne Harris:
Got Old Purses? Please donate them! My friend is going to give them to the ladies in the nursing homes in Bloomfield. Any condition will do! These ladies aren’t going out for the night, but we want to remember them on Mother’s Day. Please contact Lynne and she’ll pick them up. Thank you! 505-215-5191
Treasurer, Chris Troyer, just received a check for $800 from the Homesteader’s Group at Aztec Presbyterian Church for our Children’s Fund. This fund was established to help standing programs that might find themselves short of funds. We are so thankful for their generosity and to Debbie Klein for suggesting Kiwanis to them.
Note to All Committee Chairs-mark your calendars for April 17. Give a report on your program, date, and this will be a good time to ask for volunteers. If you are a Chair and unable to attend, consider asking a co-chair to come in your place.
