Hello Everyone,

Our speaker tomorrow is State Senator Steve Neville.  You don’t want to miss the information that Steve will share at Kiwanis this week. He just returned from the 30 day Santa Fe Session.  Come and hear what went on at this Session., some good, some not so good.  He has officially announced that he will be retiring at the end of 2024.

Spring is a perfect time to invite potential new members to visit Kiwanis, join us for lunch and enjoy an interesting speaker.

What makes Kiwanis appealing to you? Do you think our club is vibrant? It’s true that vibrant clubs attract more members.  Social Media – FaceBook – is an excellent avenue to let our community know about our many Kiwanis programs and projects #KidsNeedKiwanis.

Rio del Sol Kiwanis Club currently has 61 members and 3 Honorary Members. I believe we are one of the largest service clubs in our area.

If you have helpful membership suggestions, please contact me. Remember, bring a friend to this week’s meeting as State Senator, Steve Neville is the speaker!

Thank you to our speakers last week and for coming after rescheduled, Our 4 Key Clubs!  Thank you for updating us on everything that you have been doing and upcoming plans, as well. Farmington High KC, Piedra Vista KC, Rocinante KC, and Aztec KC.  Our Key Club members are amazing as they do so much in our communities!

Thank you Bernadette, Tony, and Chris for your support and helping us continue to run and receive funds for our projects from the Duck Race.  We really appreciate each of you!

Good News!  Jill wrote a small grant from the NM Children’s Foundation for Esperanza Elementary School for art supplies.  It was just awarded and the items: Crayons, watercolor sets, large construction & drawing paper are in the box that Farmington High School principal, Rocky Torres, will deliver to them next week.

On Thursday, March 7, Division 2 Lt. Governor, Maple Levine, will attend our Kiwanis meeting.  Joining her will be Past SW District Governor, Don Levine. Maple stated that our Kiwanis Club is the largest club in Division 2.  Yay!!!

Please keep these upcoming dates in mind.
