Hello Everyone,

Our speaker tomorrow is Joan Monninger-Executive Director of the Aztec Museum & Pioneer Village.  She will share information about their upcoming events as they prepare to open for the season with “La Nina: Nina Otero Warren.”  She’ll offer a sneak peek as they prepare for their 50th Anniversary in 2024. The Aztec Museum & Pioneer Village gives visitors the chance to step back in time and experience life in the early years of the American Southwest with 15 structures & thousands of artifacts.

Thank you to our speakers last week, Team Guardian Initiatives members Mark Phetzer and Jerrod Slindee from the SJ County Sheriff’s office. Such amazing info about their race 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean. It started in the Canary Islands, all to raise awareness and support for mental health for first responders in the Four Corners.

Bring your dollars to buy into the poker game and support our yearly social, too!

May 13, 2023 is Thomas Jefferson and John Adams at the Farmington Civic Center.  Several seats are reserved for Kiwanis in the center section but as it gets closer to the event, the seats will be released to the public; which could be soon!  Members can call the Civic Center at 505-599-1145 to purchase tickets or go by the Civic Center.

Please share with your FB friends to not miss this great event!  This is a one time only opportunity to meet two of our Founding Fathers at the Farmington Civic Center.  They are America’s most famous pair of Feuding Friends.  After their performance you will have a chance to meet them in the foyer. Go to Rio del Sol Kiwanis on FB and share from there.

June 17th will be the annual Outback Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast 8am-11am. Club members will be asked to help sell our $10 tickets…prizes for the top 3 sellers  All proceeds raised go to our club, Outback absorbs all costs and labor. We only need a small group to set up event signage, ticket sales/collection at the door, a bit of bussing tables and breakdown of signage. We raised roughly $3,000-4,000 last year for just a little bit of effort on our part;)
