Hello Everyone,

Our speaker tomorrow is Tom Taylor, NM Department of Transportation Commissioner District 5. Tom’s presentation will entail information about our highways and state highways in general.  Tom mentioned that Farmington serves a retail sector of about 250,000 people from 4 states.  We have an average of 40,000 visitors daily. (so now we know why traffic in Farmington is so heavy)

This should be a great meeting also with Club Elections and having the new Board selected.  Hope to see everyone tomorrow!

Would the new incoming Kiwanis Board Members please stay after for a photo?

Tomorrow is also the Chamber Business After Hours from 5-7pm at San Juan Country Club. Kiwanis is a Chamber member so come and enjoy yourselves. Cost is $5.

Thank you to our speaker last week, Joan Hamblen Monninger, Executive Director of the Aztec Museum & Pioneer Village.  We enjoyed the updates and concert details for their upcoming season, celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the museum & grounds. The museum’s anniversary theme is “What We Keep: Material Culture in Historic Preservation” and features a new special exhibit “Doors to the Past” honoring the area’s unique heritage.

We would love to have someone help out with membership and getting our Club’s name out in the community.  Please let Jill know if you are interested.  We do a lot of wonderful things we can share and gain recognition and grow membership.;)

Thank you for helping sell duck tickets.  It is always a fun time to see who has the winning numbers.  1 ticket is $5 or a book that has 12 tickets is $50.  Please pickup your books and help Kiwanis raise money for all of our wonderful projects!;)

Also, please share on social media and tell friends and family.  We are currently collecting prizes for the winners so if you would like to donate a prize, please let Bernadette know and we are grateful for the support!

Club Elections are April 28. Currently, all positions have someone willing to serve in these capacities.  If anyone wants to consider including their name, please talk to Bernadette.  Those elected to these positions will take office Oct 1.
