Randi Samuelson-Brown
Guest Speaker

Our guest speaker for the 10/22 meeting was award winning non-fiction and fiction writer Randi Samuelson-Brown.
She illustrated her talk with archival photographs showing Farmington in the late 19th century. Other photos showed saloons crowded with mostly men drinking adulterated whiskey and gambling at various games of chance.
Mostly, however, she concentrated on women involved in the “entertainment industry”. Her best selling book, “Market Street Madam” describes the era of brothels, dancing ladies and madams.
