Debra Mayeux was our speaker for the 7/31 meeting. She has received multiple awards in Journalism from the New Mexico Press Association as well as the William.S. Dixon Award. She also was honored by being the only New Mexico candidate to receive a position at the Supreme Court Summer Institute in Washington, DC. There she learned critical thinking skills which she can impart to her students at PV High School in their Government courses.
