Connie Mack parade was last Friday morning. Nikki and Nicole walked with the team.
Our club hosted a team dinner for players, coaches, host families, and Kiwanians Saturday afternoon at Summer Jakino’s home. Thanks to everyone who helped!
Lyle Love let us know that San Juan County stepped up and that there are enough Foster Families to house all the Connie Mack team players.

Jill needs someone to take over getting Speaker’s each week. Also, someone to do Kiwanis FB posts (for speakers and events) and is willing to dedicate time. FB posts help Kiwanis in our community by letting folks know what we do and how we help children. It alsos promotes our programs. Arranging Speakers is interesting job as you get to meet so many folks.

Laykenn with Faith Works Counseling has pushed the date back 2 weeks. They are excited to host their first Back to School Clothing & Supply Swap on Aug 15 from 10am to 2pm. They are looking for community vendors at no charge if anyone is willing to have a Kiwanis table. They are still taking donations so take them by 221 N. Auburn or bring to a club meeting and give to Laykenn.
The SW District Convention is in Albuquerque this year. Registration is now open! This is a good year to attend and less expensive as we don’t have to travel as far. Consider attending as it usually is held in Arizona and is so much closer this year.
Consider inviting a Friend to join you at Kiwanis and share with them what Kiwanis does for the children in our community!
