The Farmington Rio Del Sol Kiwanis club is dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects. We are part of Kiwanis International, an organization serving children in local communities for over 100 years.
We’d love for you to come join us at one of our meetings or a service project.
We meet every Thursday at Noon at No Worries Bar and Grill located at the Farmington Airport, Farmington, NM 87401. Bring your appetite and your energy as we discuss upcoming projects and hear from people in our community.
Help the Rio del Sol Kiwanis Foundation in Farmington support the children in need.
The Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Projects for Kids
Our club is actively involved in our community helping children in need. More can be found by clicking the Our Projects button below.
Kiwanis Clothes for Kids at Target provides $100/each for school clothes for approximately 300 children.
November each Year
Coats for Kids program provides hundreds of warm winter coats to San Juan County boys and girls.
November each Year
Scholastic Books for Kids program provides books for every child in a title 1 school in our district.
Kiwanis Shoes for Kids program provides new athletic shoes and socks to children attending Boys and Girls Clubs.
Farmington Rio del Sol Kiwanis Meetings

Robbie Donald / Candace Krestle
Description
Robbie Donald – AirCare is the premier Air Medical service in the Four Corners Region. AirCare operates two aircraft, one Bell 429 helicopter and Pilatus PC-12 NGX. AirCare is expanding its service with another Pilatus PC-12 airplane with plans to go into service in December 2024. AirCare transports over one hundred patients per month to destinations including Albuquerque, Las Cruses, Colorado Springs, Denver, Salt Lake City and Phoenix. In the helicopter AirCare operates as a first responder 911-air ambulance, responding throughout the Four Corners to scene calls, such as motor vehicles accidents, and to the small healthcare clinics in our remote and underserved region.
Candace Krestle – Night To Shine-Prom (thru the Tim Tebow Foundation) that community puts on for Special Needs people. Candace will take 4 or 5 min to tell us how we can help with formal wear, volunteers and sponsors.

Martin Brady – Director of Business Incubation-San Juan College. The Enterprise Center just celebrated their 25th Anniversary, it was started by Jim Henderson and Tom Taylor. Martin will tell us about the history and what’s led up to where it is today.

Description
Superintendent of Public Schools, Cody Dhiel. Trump has said he plans to abolish the Department of Education. Cody may or may not have information on how this will affect our schools at the time of this presentation. He’ll give updates on what’s going on in the schools.

Tonya Stinson and Ingrid Gilbert with Go Farmington. Their recent FarmingtonOnly.com campaign won the marketing award for Most Innovative Campaign. They were up against tough competition such as Meow Wolf and Visit Albuquerque. The Visitors Center in Farmington is doing great things for our community and bringing in a lot of tourism.
