Hello Everyone,
Our speakers tomorrow are Lynne Harris, owner of Zia Tech, and Justin Tornatore, who does cybersecurity for Zia Tech. Security should be at the top of everyone’s concerns these days, every time we turn around there are security breaches and information has been stolen.
Also, Nikki Taylor will give an update on the Kathy Lincoln Cancer Style Show Luncheon.
Terri Lee has been approved for Kiwanis membership and will be inducted at tomorrow’s meeting.
Thank you to our speaker last week, Anne Hillerman. She is a best-selling author and the daughter of novelist Tony Hillerman. She has continued her father’s series of Joe Leaphorn-Jim Chee novels following his death. Her 9th book in this series is Lost Birds. What a wonderful meeting and a great crowd!
Thank you to our wonderful guests that came last week!
Thank you to Fran for all the hard work on the Social and Summer as well and for hosting! Thank you to everyone that donated money, gift cards, food, and plays the card game weekly. It was so nice to get together and enjoy each other’s company.
Roy Water’s funeral service will be Saturday morning, September 21st at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church. Mass will be at 9:30am. D’Ann said his obituary is online with Farmington Funeral Home. D’Ann and Roy have 1 son, Shawn (wife Allison) and a granddaughter and grandson. Please keep D’Ann and her family in your prayers.
Congratulations on another successful DWD! Thank you to Jill and Paul for the history and years of work to lead to this annual sold out event. Thank you to the script writers, actors, guides, volunteers, and everyone behind the scenes. Finally, thank you to Greenlawn Cemetery for letting us use their facility prior to and during the event.
If you have a speaker you’d like to schedule for Kiwanis, look at the Calendar of Events to see what dates are open. Confirm with Jill that date is available and book them. Your interest is appreciated.
Please keep these upcoming dates in mind.
