Hello Everyone,
Tomorrow’s speaker is Hank Adair, Farmington Utility Director-Farmington Electric; he will give the latest update on New Horizons Into Market and New Generations. The Electric Co is installing 18 megawatts of reciprocating internal combustion engines at the Bluffview Power Plant. Farmington Electric was a partial owner of the San Juan Generating Station coal-fired power plant that closed.
Last week Lynn Harris spoke to us on the benefits of reflexology. Shoulder pain, knee pain, migraines, anxiety, depression, sciatica, weight gain? Pain is your body’s profound wisdom speaking to you. Thru reflexology you can discover what your body is trying to tell you.
Many Thanks to all the volunteers who helped with Scholastic Books last week!! Volunteers helped put labels in 1,000 books and also helped distribute them at McCormick Elementary last Friday. Each student received 2 books to take home for their very own. McCormick Elementary has a new concept, a vending machine with books. When a student does something good, they are given a gold coin to use in the vending machine to select a book of their choice.
IMPORTANT! We are considering a new fundraiser that will be loads of Fun and different! We would like for anyone interested to stay after the meeting tomorrow to discuss it.
1. Do we want to do it
2. Would we do it this fall or in the spring?
3. Who would head it up? Someone who could get sponsors and organize.
Good News! We have 2 inductions tomorrow and another next week! Jason Nichols and Beth DiGiacomo will be inducted tomorrow and Sturdy will be inducted next week. Kiwanis is proud to have these community members join us.
