Do you know someone you feel would be an interesting speaker? If so, check out club calendar and confirm with secretary the date is still open, schedule your speaker and get a short paragraph of his/her presentation. Good News! Sturdy Sturdevant, a Kiwanis member, said he and his wife, Jen, have relatives who want to donate 2 expensive paintings, appaised at $1,700 for Kiwanis Bunco night. They wanted them to go to an organization that would put the money to good use. There is appraisal paperwork available for the paintings.
The Farmington Chamber of Commerce Business to Business Expo will be held on Friday, April 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Farmington Civic Center.
Kiwanis will have a table staffed by Kiwanis volunteers to connect with local business leaders and share the meaningful work we do in our community, including our many projects that support children.
A Coffee Social will take place prior to the Expo—an excellent opportunity to network before the event begins.
We are looking for 5–6 volunteers to help represent Kiwanis and share our story. Thank you to Chris, Cody, and Jill for already stepping up!
If you can smile and be friendly, you’re qualified—we’d love to have you join us! Send an email to jmcq2@yahoo.com if you can help for a few hours.
Kiwanis Southwest District Convention is in Albuquerque on August 7-9. Save the date if you’ve always thought you’d like to attend a convention to learn more about Kiwanis but didn’t want to travel a long distance. This is your opportunity. More information soon.
