Hello Everyone,
Our speaker tomorrow is our own Cody Cornoyer, owner of Hills Insurance. Cody will tell us his story of facing death and his experience, survival, and comeback from MS
JOINING US tomorrow are Lt. Governor Mapel Levine and her husband, Past SW District Governor Don Levine.
Last week’s speaker was State Senator Steve Lanier. Steve is a former San Juan County Commissioner. He just returned from the 60 day Legislative Session in Santa Fe and he shared interesting information and how much of an eye opener this experience was.
Spring is a great time to invite a friend to join you at a Kiwanis luncheon. We’ve had some very interesting speakers and Cody’s story this week from death’s door to how his health is today will be interesting. Then, in just a few more weeks on April 17, Committee Chairs will be sharing information about their programs and arranging for volunteers to help with programs.
Many thanks to Amber Danek for arranging for Key Club students to come to the Chamber of Commerce Business to Business Expo Friday and selling duck tickets AND wearing the duck costume. Thank you to those who are coming to help share Kiwanis with our community. If you have a few minutes and aren’t working the booth, stop by and say hello and share Kiwanis with your business friends.
A Big Shout Out to FHS Key Club! They brought home the First Place Distinguished Club Award from the Key Club District Convention last weekend in Albuquerque!!! They won this award due to all their service hours and projects they give to our community. Congratulations to Amber Danek and her amazing Key Club students!!
Rick Burns, Kiwanis Advisor to PV Key Club, also had students attend the Convention.
Grant Writing-Many thanks to Shellie Diede for offering to help, she is so appreciated. Shellie writes grants for Hope Children’s Foundation so she will be perfect. The grants are to raise money for Clothes for Kids and Kiwanis other children’s programs.
