We were happy to welcome Farmington City Manager Shana Reeves at our 3/23 meeting. She reviewed her twenty-two years of city government experience leading up to her present position. She oversees multiple departments and is working to increase their efficiency.
Regarding the current state of the city she noted that funding depends on the variable state of Gross Receipts Tax income. The city now has been designated a Retail Area serving a population of 300,000. About 100,000 people visit the city daily for retail or tourist purposes.
