We were greatly informed at the 3/12 meeting by our guests from the San Juan United Way Community Services. On the left is Emmeri Ortega, Director of the unit and Community Navigator. On the right are her associates Devin Long and Cathryn Abeyta.
Their group works with community members facing challenges such as housing instability, utility shutoffs, legal concerns and crisis situations. They direct inquiries to community support groups and agencies which can help persons directly. Emmeri can be locally reached by using the nationwide community service number 211.
