We were honored at the 3/26 meeting to have as speaker Jason Rounds, CEO of San Juan Regional Medical Center. He reviewed the recent legislative passage of health related bills. These include the Medical Malpractice Act and the Health Access Act. These will greatly help the community, medical providers and the hospital.
He also noted the establishment of an in-hospital retail pharmacy, the installation of a cyber attack proof IT system, the addition of much needed physicians and the introduction of a medical residency program.
