Our special guest at the 10/30 meeting was Mike Stark, the San Juan County manager, who gave an update on county activities, including the progress happening with the rail spur connecting our area to the main lines in Gallup. He also addressed the opening of the Pinon Hills Boulevard extension to Southside River Road and the plans for future extension to Wildflower Parkway. He discussed the unfortunate decision by the racing commission to approve the transfer of Sunray Racing and Casino to Clovis. The county is contesting this decision.
