Hello Everyone,

Our speaker tomorrow is Soberta Bitsui.  Family Crisis Center is a comprehensive Domestic Violence service provider. Services are provided at two facilities; Marge’s Place, a protective shelter for victims of Domestic Violence and their children, and our Counseling Center which provides services and support to victims, child witnesses, and offenders.

We will also induct our newest member to Kiwanis, Michelle Smith.  We are glad she is joining us and please welcome her into the Kiwanis Family.

Thank you to our speaker last week Mick Hesse, President of the Connie Gotsch Foundation.  He has played the trumpet and been involved in music his entire life. He served on the West Point Bank and has taught at the Norwegian Music Academy in Oslo.  Cathy Pope, Treasurer, also joined to discuss the Connie Gotsch Foundation and The Arts. Mick has a radio show every Monday thru Friday at 9am “Roving the Arts”

Thank you Veronica Frost for joining us last week as a guest; we are glad you came!

Bring your dollars to buy into the poker game and support our yearly social, too!

Our Past President, Tony DiGiacomo, just lost his mother.  Please keep Tony and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Gladys Di Giacomo has been in ill health for a while and Tony has always been there at her side.

Bob Brooks just got home from the hospital after a stay of 6 days in Durango.  His back surgery was 11 hours long.  Anita said he is home and is recovering.  Please let him know you are thinking of him. If you would like to send him an email it is:  BobB@animascu.com

Please keep these upcoming dates in mind and consider signing up for these important events.

May 13, 2023 is Thomas Jefferson and John Adams at the Farmington Civic Center.  Tickets are now on sale. We would like to encourage members to dress in costumes from the 1776 era and let’s make this a really cool event for our community.
